EEOC: Final Regulations for PWFA Coming Soon

We wanted to remind employers that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is waiting for the office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) to review and give its blessing to the final rule.

The rule was proposed on August 11, 2023, and comments where received until October 10, 2023. After this, the OIRA received it on December 27, 2023, and it is pending its review.

The rule now is expected to be published in the Federal Register and it is likely to take effect 60 days after publication.

Vensure will monitor and notify employers on any updates regarding publication and effective date.
