Attend Career Fairs | Career fairs are a way for companies to meet new talents, review resumes and see if interest arises. This allows both parties to find out if this is the right fit for them. Career fairs are available many times a month in various locations. Check your local newspaper, social media or college websites for career fairs near you.
Start a LinkedIn Profile | LinkedIn has become a new way for employers to search for potential employees. LinkedIn is much like Facebook, but only includes professional attributes. Employers can easily view potential new hire’s education and past experiences. LinkedIn even offers a way for others to endorse a skill or recommend a potential candidate, thus giving instant references. LinkedIn is free, fast and an easy way to get your name out there.
Job Search Engines | Online job search engines allow employers to post a job description in a career field and/or location. Many colleges also offer their own search engines. These allow only students of the college access, which gives an advantage to those students and potential employers who are looking for specific skills and education. Search engines are easy to find, easy to use, and gather many opportunities in one central location.
Networking | Sending a message to all of those in your professional circle will give you a better chance of connecting with a potential employee.Tell your employees, relatives, club members or communities about your job opening. Word of mouth is sometimes the best form of recommendation.
Conclusion | Whether you are just opening a job position or have been looking for months, these few steps will allow you to further your reach and start you on a successful journey to recruiting!
