What happened?
On August 24, 2021, the Arkansas Department of Commerce approved an amended Rule 5 regarding unemployment benefits notices.
What are the details?
The amended law, currently effective, now requires Arkansas employers to post and provide upon separation, notice of the availability of unemployment benefits to employees. The amended law provides an updated notice of unemployment insurance eligibility (Appendix A to Rule 5) that employers must send to employees at termination and specifies that the delivery method is at the discretion of the employer.
