New Requirement for Texas Employers: Notice for Reporting Workplace Violence or Suspicious ‎Activity

What happened?

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) issued a notice that was required by HB 915 law for all employers to post regarding the reporting instances of workplace violence.

What are the details?

Employers must post the notice that released in:

(1) A conspicuous place in the employer’s place of business

(2) In enough locations to be convenient to all employees

(3) In English and Spanish

The notice released by the TWC is in English and Spanish, and employers should begin to post it accordingly.

Business Considerations

  • Print and post the notice as soon as possible at your workplace locations in an area where employees frequent.
  • If you have remote employees, upload the notice to your company intranet and notify your remote employees of the availability of the notice.
