Oklahoma | The Oklahoma Office of the Civil Rights Enforcement Attorney General has updated their Discrimination in Employment notice. The updated notice reflects a change to the enforcement provision. In addition, information on the appeal procedures available through the Oklahoma Merit Protection Commission has been removed. Tennessee | The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated its Unemployment Insurance notice. The updated notice reflects that individuals must search for work by making a minimum of four work search activities per week and documenting these activities during the weekly certification process to be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits. Failure to meet the new requirement of four work search activities may result in a loss of unemployment benefits. The poster revision date is September 27, 2024. | MANDATORY |
West Virginia | The West Virginia Division of Labor has updated its Unemployment Insurance Benefits notice. The updated notice reflects that unemployed individuals must complete four weekly work search activities to maintain eligibility for unemployment benefits. Georgia | The Unemployment Insurance for Employees Notice now includes a new portal for registering for employment services, as well as an updated list of locations where claims can be filed. The Vacation Unemployment Insurance Notice has been revised to include additional information. Additionally, the Equal Pay for Work Act Notice has been updated with the inclusion of a contact phone number. | MANDATORY |
Massachusetts | The Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) announced that it has revised all its “Notice to Employees” posters. This is a mandatory posting requirement for all businesses operating in Massachusetts. The Department offers the posters in 8 different languages in addition to English. C. Florida | Effective September 30, 2024, the minimum wage in Florida increases to $13.00 an hour, and the required cash wage for tipped employees increases to $9.98. All Florida employers are required to post the current minimum wage in their place of business where an employee can see it.
