San Francisco Paid Parental Leave Ordinance for 2024

What happened?

The City of San Francisco in its Paid Parental Leave Ordinance (PPLO) cap for 2024 stays the same as for 2023.

What are the details?

The city of San Francisco requires most employers with twenty or more employees worldwide to supplement PFL benefits. For 2024, the PPLO cap remains $2,700 per week, as it was in 2023. 

Business Considerations

  • Employers should use the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement calculator to assist in determining how much supplemental compensation must be paid to eligible employees per week.
