We wanted to provide employers with an additional reminder concerning California’s pay data reporting portal, which opened on February 1, 2024.

This year’s payroll employee template introduces three new required data points for each group of employees by establishment, job category, race/ethnicity, sex, and pay band of:

  • The number of employees group that work onsite
  • The number of employees group that work remotely from California.
  • The number of employees that work remotely outside of California.

The new labor contractor employee template requires the same data points for each labor contractor, establishment, job category, race/ethnicity, and sex employee group.

For the Pay Data Reporting templates, FAQs, Portal, and other resources, visit the following page.

Remember that the portal opened on February 1, 2024, and the submission deadline is on or before May 8, 2024.
