What happened?
The State of California recently updated two documents that must be provided to new hires.
What are the details?
The California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Workers Compensation updated its “Time of Hire” Notice, which must be provided to newly hired employees.
The Employment Development Department (EDD) updated its “For Your Benefit” pamphlet, which must be provided at the time of discharge of employees, provided no later than the effective date of a departing employee’s termination.
Both documents were updated in February 2024 and are also available in Spanish.
